Thinking of Trading in the 04 F350 DRW 6.0 for A 2010?

I need some feedback about this. I am currently have the head gasket issues with my 04. What a surprise. Should I put almost $4,000 into replacing the head gaskets, oil cooler and the list goes on?

I am wondering what people think of the 2010 (6.4) for towing a gooseneck trailer (13,XXXlbs)?

How is the MPG, power for towing and so on.

All feedback is wecome.

I am waiting for the dealer to call me back with there best price on a 2010 F350 Lar. 4x4, crew cab 4x4. Sticker is $54,783. The trade in they are going to give me is $21,000 for my 04 F350, crew cab DRW, 6.0, automatic with 59,000 miles.

MPG sucks on the 6.4. Heaviest I have pulled is 5 K and it pulls that weight like it isn't even there. Gets 12 MPG in the city empty. Gets 14.5 at 70 on the highway empty. Gets 11.5 on the highway with the 5K boat behind it at 70. Mine is a 08 CC with only 5,000 miles on it. All stock. I hope it gets a little better with some break in miles. Read the 6.4 forum. There is a ton on mileage and power there.

i think ive heard the mileage gets better if u take the EPA garbadge off !!!

I have an '09 F-350 with the auto and pull a 13,500 fith wheel. Not a problem at all and plenty of power. I have less than 5K miles so the mileage is not that good yet but have gone from 13 when I got it to 15.3 now. Like most diesels, it gets better with time. I just don't know how good it will get. I can't find anything to gripe about on the truck.

The mileage sucks no matter what, until you take the DPF off. $21,000 trade in sounds too good to be true! That's awesome!

If you decide to keep the 6.0, get the headstuds.
