you may be experiencing condensation build up in the intercooler A.K.A Charge Air Cooler (CAC) if you still have the original intercooler on the truck.
I experienced the same issues when going to wide open throttle.....I live in the Keys where the humidity is above 70% on average.........there is a TSB on the intercooler (CAC) talking about prolonged driving in rain and high humidity which states that if owners experience the issue of the smoke and engine stumbling to notify dealership of said issue......the dealership should acknowledge the TSB and change your intercooler (CAC).......sorry I don't have the TSB number on hand, unable to research at this time.....but do a search on the forum regarding your problem and you'll find the TSB number.

I don;t know for sure, BUT I would think that the Intercooler would be covered by the engine warranty

Here is the TSB description, to see if this is what you think is going on:

Quote:
TSB 08-25-1.

White smoke in damp weather conditions when accelerating; trucks built before Oct 1, 2008

Concern is described as significant amounts of white smoke from the exhaust pipe.
White smoke only occurs in high humidity or rainy conditions above 40 °F (4 °C).
White smoke only appears during a moderate to heavy tip-in that is performed after a period of steady state driving (approximately 20 minutes)
No diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) are present.
Concern is not a result of regeneration, a cleaning exhaust filter event.

If all of the criteria above is true, then replace the Charge Air Cooler Assembly with a new revised part

This just happen to me, pulling camper at 65 mph every time it downshifted it would run poorly and puff out white smoke untill the rpms climed, it was raining very hard. When I would take off from a dead stop it ran fine only happened when it downshifted for big hills. This happened to me a couple other times in the past but only once durring each trip, I thought it was just road conditions because its hard to see the smoke when its raining hard. I guess its just hit and miss in the rain. I thought I was loosing a fuel injector. The drive home was dry and it ran fine.

Thanks for the TSB # Its easier going to the dealer with the right info.

Just got back from my dealer with the same issue and they claim it's not covered under warranty, I have 82,000 on my truck. I'm going to talk to Ford tomorrow. I visited a different dealer the other week and they claim it is covered. I would really like to know the real answer.
