Anyone know the cost of the new cooler? My truck was doing this from the day it was new and the dealer never was able to correct it. At about 65,000 miles I had the EGR valve and housing replaced due to a different problem and it seemed to fix the high moisture "stumbling" problem. I now have 114,000 miles and have noticed the problem again the last few weeks. I might just deal with the issue depending on the cost.

I really find this irritating because I'm pretty sure my dealer is trying to screw me. I purchased a DPF delete kit and was waiting to install it until after the intercooler was replaced. I called the service manager there and he said he had to look into it further. Four unanswered calls later, I decided to check with a different dealer, they did say it was covered but couldn't get to my truck for several weeks. Being impatient, I made an appointment with the first dealer for some minor service (oil change, trans service, etc.) and have them check the intercooler issue and showed them the service bulletin. They kept the truck three days (I thought they were changing the cooler and needed to wait for the part) at the end of the third day, I called and they said the truck was finished. When I got there to pick it up, they told me the "no, the intercooler was not covered under warranty with the 82,000 miles I had on the truck". I tried calling ford to confirm, they didn't call me back either. I lost my patience and put the DPF kit on last weekend. Now I'll have to put it back to stock if it should have been covered.

Mine is at the dealer right now getting the bed plate leak fixed and the cac changed, I only have 15k on truck. The dealer said they can fix the bed plate from under the truck without removing the cab by pulling the trans. My local dealer only has 1 certified tech and they have never fixed a problem yet (Spirit Ford, Dundee Mi.) So I took it to Bi-state Ford Toledo OH, 40 min. from my house, they have 5 certified techs and only deal in Trucks, the smallest being F150's all the way up to big rigs. I hate the idea of having this big of a tear down with so few miles on truck. The truck only sees vacation duty and heavy snow days..

The CAC is not only listed in the manual under warranty coverage for 5 years 100,000 miles, it's listed in the emissions warranty for 5 years 100,000 miles too. The TSB 08-25-1 also states this in the bulletin. TSB 08-25-1.pdf |

Got truck back, they had to remove the cab and motor for the oil leak, changed the cac and found a fuel leak under the valve cover. They told me all the repairs I had would be covered under the 5yr 100k war. They did try to get me to pay a $100 deductable, but as soon as I questioned it they said opps sorry. It must be a standard practice to see if they can get extra money.
