I have a CAT/DPF pipe custom built for the Magnaflow exhaust that lets you run your exhaust to my pipe and remove the 3.5" reducer that was supplied with your system. Let me know if you need more info or have any questions.

Are you saying its easier to swap out the entire exhaust than it is to just swap the DPF/Cat pipe?

Yeah make sure you get that 275 tune... I got my tuner before the 275 was available and paid $300 for the 250hp tune... and now they want another $300 for the 275hp tune. I emailed Matt and asked if I could get a discount if I traded my 250hp tune in... Have not heard back about it.

Ya i think it is. There are 8 bolts on the dpf that are a pain to get undone. And i think there is a gasket that goes in there. For one the dealer is going to look at the bolts and know that they have been tampered with and everyone knows exhaust bolts are the hardest to get undone. I think its simple to undo the bolts at the downpipe, undo some hangers, slide one clamp and pipe loose and just slide everything back together. Maybe more will chime in and tell you but it only takes about 30 min to take one off and put the other one on. Even with frozen temp probes it doesnt take too long. I put hight temp anti seize on everything to help but i recently scored some extra temp probes so i have almost a full set so i just have to unhook the wires swap exhuast and plug it all in.

If you want faster stock swap times, you can go with a AFE pro-gaurd 7 drop in filter. I was told that it won't suck in the filter minder even with the 275 tune. It is only like 80 bucks or so, vs 270+ for a whole CAI. Not that I am knocking the CAI, but if the flow is there, and if it makes it easier for stock swap, and being cheaper, I think it is the way to go IMO. Another plus side is that you don't mess with any sensors, jsut replace the filter. S&B CAI do not seem to throw codes, but the AFE intake I hear do. The drop in filter has not set a code in over 2,500 miles since I put it on.

Did you notice any differences with just the filter....sound or performance?

Thanks, Mike

Stock I noticed about .5-1mpg more. It seemed to make spool up quicker and throttle response was better when the truck was stock. It sounds like stock. For 20 bucks more than the stock filter, that will last as long as the truck(unlike the stock filter)the performance mods that is compatible with, I think it is the best bang for the buck IMO
