Took The plunge new Torque 1 tuner

Well after lots of research, and Spartan not playing well in the sand box with California residents. I decided to go with Torque Technologies T1. Im hoping to install next weekend with 5" Flo pro straight pipe and 7"mbrp chrome tip.

In for results. Wouldn't trade my spartan but interested none the less. The price is a little bit less than spartan when I looked.

Yes they go for 1250.00, it was a nice price but I would have payed a little more for a Spartan. If they would handle tech support and downloads to California customers. I say at my age I don't need all the hot tunes Spartan offers, just wanted some better mpg and a better running engine that's more reliable.

Definitely not an expert on emissions testing, but I do know that Spartan passes the "readiness" test unlike some others out there. Obviously, DPF deletes causing emissions testing problems. What problems did the Spartan have when it comes to emissions testing?

Install went great today, in fact it went very easy installing the 5" Flo pro straight pipe due to the previous owner must have dpf deleted before I did, pipe and bolts were very easy coming off with no rust. Simple 10 minute download of the Torque T1 tuner. I took it out on first test run and from start up I could tell I have a new love for this truck, very deep sound from the exhaust and what a difference in throttle with no turbo lag. When I made it onto the street that was light traffic and nice and straight I let it go and damn near $#$t my pants wow I cant believe what a beast has come out of my truck. I did not get any estimates so far on any gain in mpg, because I could not keep my foot out of it. I leave on vacation next Thursday for trip down to Pismo beach pulling my trailer and after I will report back on any gains. On Monday I will call Torque Technologies support and ask them a list of questions I have and see how their customer support is. I wish I could give you a comparison on Torques T1 vs other tuners but since this is my first diesel and dpf delete I can say that for the money Im very pleased so far.

So far that sounds like a bunch of good news Keep us informed on your findings. It would be great for our community to have more legit options.

Spoke to Brian from Torque Technologies today, great customer service and very knowledgeable about his product. I am extremely happy about this purchase so far and highly recommend to any one that likes power change on the fly and not expecting all the extras other tuners include with higher price tags. Im extremely happy about the visual gains in mpg so far and will have some hand calculations after my trip this weekend.
