literally just solved this same problem on a truck this week..
it would scan/read just fine with factory tune in it
with an SCT loaded it would high idle and go into limp.
with an H&S loaded, it would cycle the VGT, engage the fan clutch, and pop a U0073 and wouldn't restart until the code was cleared
the truck had had the cab off and one of the main wiring connectors in the driver's fender well wasn't seated all the way. reseated that connector, and it's been golden since
