4R110 swap?

Has anyone done this? I'm looking to do a tranny before I start going into depth on the motor. And read a couple guys refer to the 4r110 tranny swap. What all is needed to do this? Pros vs cons? Now before I get a ton of "stick with the 5R" statements I'm simply asking. I'm not sure on what to do yet. I just don't want to have to worry, and I like having options. I may do the 5R. But if the perks out weigh cons I may do 4R. Any help greatly appreciated. I would imagine the taller gears would benefit me more on the track. Again. Any help greatly appreciated.

For now I'm shooting for 700-750. But before it retires I want it above 800.

Ok. I'm thinking about rebuilding one myself. Any input on internals? Suncoast rebuild kit? Billet output shaft? Converter?

I personally would do a full billet if you plan on 800+ HP.

08 F350 cc/sb 4X4
h&s minimaxx, 5" flo pro, 4" down pipe, no limit cold air intake, dirty diesel EGR delete with intake elbow, 6.0 exhaust manifolds, custom up pipes, ported intake manifold, Apex 71mm LP turbo, Rudy's cold side pipe, diesel site coolant and transmission filter, diesel site intercooler boots, ccv mod, bilstein shocks, gogo dd solenoid, HID lights, Airdog II 165, PMF traction bars, PMF drag link, moshimoto aluminum radiator

I plan to do as much billet as possible. Billet output shaft, billet intermediate shaft, triple disk converter. I'm having a hard time finding the converter. But in terms or gear clutch packs and shift kit and valve bodies and solenoids. I'm having a hard time finding 5R performance valve bodies. I found a billet solenoid of l/r

5r's don't have "valve bodies " they have solenoid bodies

Ok. That would make sense lol. So what would I need to do to upgrade? Upgraded solenoids? Or just that one billet od l/r. Only benefit I've heard out of it is to prevent 3-5 shift flare? And also the only solenoid I can find after stock.

I would go with an Elite transmission if that's your power goal. They're stage IV and V transmissions have pretty good reputations behind some heavily modded 6.4's.
