Coolant filter question

Just bought a coolant filter kit from dieselsite for my 08 6.4. Tried looking around cause the instructions say I should have a hose going to the top inlet of the overflow but that's blocked off and I saw where people moved the hose from the bottom to the top and plugged the bottom but I don't know where that leaves me with what hoses I have to tap into for it. Do I still tap into the ones the instructions say?

Google 6.4 coolant filter installation, the thread on this org should come right up w/ detailed pics. Bottom heater hose behind intake, then top hose running back to degas bottle. Good luck, Jayson.

You should tee into the overflow line that lays on top of the fan shroud toward the passenger side. Then tee into the aforementioned heater hose by the firewall.
