dpf & egr delete tunes and help

Ive decided to delete my dpf & egr after reading all the threads. Im currently running on my 2008 6.4 a afe cai, magnaflow 4" cat back exhaust and a sct livewire 9625 tuner. I recently started throwing a p2002 cel. Im basically looking to accomplish better mpgs with reliablity and the added power is a plus. I should also add that i tow on occasion a 32' 5th wheel trailer weighting in at around 13k loaded roughly.

My question is will the sct livewire support dpf and egr delete tunes? Also if so what are the best tunes in your option for what im trying to accomplish and where can i get them?

All input is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance...

If it's the 9625OR model yes it can delete the dpf and EGR. As for custom tunes it's really a case by case basis some people like one but not the other. But a few to look into would be gear head or IDP. If your tuner is not delete capable you would have to find one that is first. The sct 3015R or 9625or are around 800-1000 used on eBay or the forum.

That I don't know, maybe someone who has one will be able to tell you how to find out. Or you could call sct

Contact SCT tech support, give them the serial number & they'll be able to tell you for sure. All SCT tuners that were originally DPF off had OR at the end of the model numbers.

If it's an OR tuner then it will work. If not then it will not work.

Still no response from sct and now starting to get a loud ticking sound after tunning to the performance settng. Sounds like a valve is going out. At 2200 rpms is ticking pretty loud.

The valve guides on the 6.4 heads are pretty embarrasing... Im surprised ford even allowed prodution of these heads. very likely that a valve or guide is going out with the added power. I personally would not run a hot tune on a truck with the dpf on and activated. It's probably in ReGen more than it should be. check this video out
