Another mini maxx question

I currently have the race/offroad tuner dpf delete. I live in california and i guess its frowned upon to blow a little black smoke withe the dpf removed . So i put the dpf back on. I was wondering which tuner is the best if you leave the dpf on? Im considering selling my tuner and delete pipe. My street where i live on has about 4 cops that live on my street

You can run the Mini Maxx street tuner if you can find one. Or try an SCT they offer a non delete tune. But your Mini Maxx you have also work as a non delete tuner. When you download it just select that the DPF is still in place.

One thing you need to be aware of though, running a tuner on a truck with the DPF in place is going to cause the truck to regen a lot more than normal because of the increased particulates caused by the tuner.

You can combat that with water methanol injection and it cuts way back on regen cycles because the water methanol helps atomize the extra fuel the tuner is commanding. I ran into that a couple times with customer's trucks and the water methanol fixed it.

You also don't HAVE to blow black smoke just because you are running around deleted. Just set your LBF low and you shouldn't have an issue.
