Pro Comp vs Other

How do you guys feel about Pro comp components compared to the more televised, or brand name, promoted components, such as Icon, Skyjacker, Bds and all the others. Just looking for pros and cons of Pro comp and if its a cheap brand meaning the stuff doesnt last or is poorly manufactured compared to the more popular brands. Thanks in advance fellas

I don't have any experience with Pro Comp suspension components. I did a 2.5" Ion level kit and added 1" with my traction bars. The ION has been on there 6 yrs now w/o issues and the Tbars are a little over 2 yrs.

My pro comp 6 inch has been on for 6 years as well I work in the oil field so my truck takes a beating and my lift has held up extremely well. My 6.0 had fabtech it road a bit softer. I find pro comp springs to be stiffer then most which I like because I don't have traction bars I feel it helps with Axel wrap. The rear springs won't even hit the stop or whatever you call it even when I'm loaded very heavy

OP, Pro Comp has some good stuff. I just don't recommend their traction bars. I've been there and done that. I do recommend ICON over anything else matched with Precision Metal Fab parts, but not everyone is willing I spend the money on a setup like that.

I assume you're referring to an ICON leveling kit? I've never heard of Ion.

Yes, that is correct. Thanks for catching that.
What problem did you have the Pro Comp Tbars?

I am an Icon guy. Can't go wrong with them. I would match them with One Up Offroad.

They just didn't function properly. I've tried Pro Comp, CalTracs (racing purposes only), and PMF. The Pro Comp bars were the least effective bar out of all three. The PMF bars were by far the most effective.
