EGR Removal

I have a thought and please tell me if this would work..... Is it possible to install the blocker plates on both sides of the EGR cooler, then remove the EGR valve and put the Sinister elbow kit on. This seem to me to be the easiest way to get the valve removed and get more fresh air to the intake without having to actually remove the cooler. Please let me know if I'm over thinking this..... or I could just be sleep deprived and just rambling on..... Looking forward to your thoughts on this.

I don't think you can because the front cooler mounts to the egr valve. You could block off the side cooler but I think would have to remove the front cooler to change out the elbow.
