H&S Mini Maxx - downloaded hot tunes and lost Cruise Control

As the title says, I downloaded the hot tunes to my truck just to see how much they effected MPG. All seemed to go well. I input my tire size, low fuel setting is 0, transmission is tuned to TC lock in 4th and low shift points. Truck runs great and MPG seems to be at least as good as with the mild tunes.

The only issue is that now my Cruise Control doesn't work. Won't even turn on. Anyone else have this problem? I'll called H&S and the tech had never heard of this happening and his only advice was to reload the tunes.

Any advice or tips are greatly appreciated.

usually won't work right after you first flash the truck. shut it off and start it back up and your cruise should work

if it still doesn't, it's probably your brake pressure switch. total coincidence if it is. Happened to my 1 ton

What drunk on Diesel said.

ALSO, I have my H&S hardwired into the truck. When I turn the ignition on the H&S turns on. Sometimes, if I run the Glow Plugs and the HS doesn't completely fire up in between energizing the key and starting the truck I notice that sometimes the Cruise Control doesn't work.

I have mine wired to the purple wire, as well and have that same thing happen while I'm waiting for the glow plugs to cycle. I wondered if the "double start up" of the tuner would be an issue. I sure hope I don't have an ongoing/intermittent problem. I use my cruise all the time.

When I downloaded the hot tunes I started the truck when the tuner told me to and then took off to test drive it. Got home, parked it, then came in to eat dinner, so I'm hoping all will be well when I start up next time. I'll check it out tomorrow.

Thanks again for the tips.

I only cycle them if it is below 20*, which is VERY rare. Once, a month or so ago, I didn't cycle at 16* and I had a bad rattle for about 2 seconds so I use 20 as my cut-off.

mhutch - if youve already started the truck and don't want to restart, you can reach down and flick the H&S manual switch down at the OBDII port and usually that will reset it and allow it to work.

Cold? You don't know cold.

I live in Colorado at about 9000 ft. We usually don't get extreme cold but regularly see zero. It was 10 when I got up this morning.

We had a few inches of snow last night so I might not get out until later today to see if the cruise works. I'll let everyone know later tonight. Thanks again.
