Anyone install an oil pressure gauge?

I was wondering if anyone has an oil pressure gauge installed. I would like to put one on my truck but don't know where to tap into. I read somewhere that you could tap into the oil pressure switch but don't know where it is. Anyone have an idea??

you talking about low pressure(engine) oil and not High pressure oil right?

If so, look next to your oil filter, on the last rib of the block on drivers side. you will see a square plug there. remove that plug and install your sensor there. Thats the best place. Its where I have mine. you should see somewhere about 20-25 psi, at runnning temp at idle,and 40+ cruising, and over that at WOT

okay i found it. is that the switch for the dummy light?

ya know? I gotta start looking at the section people are posting in....I thought you were workin on a 7.3. my bad, yeah, that might very well be the dummy switch. I am hoping a 6.4 guy will chime in here.....
