Mini-Max or SCT Livewire

Trying to figure out which is the best option between Mini-Max and SCT. I am looking at both tuner set ups with 4" exhaust, intake, and EGR delete. I use my truck mostly for towing, 15000-17000 lbs. I know you can adjust on-the-fly with Mini-Max but cost is approximately $1000 difference from the SCT. Is it really worth the cost if I'm just running everything on Tow Tune? Do I need to be concerned with tranny issues towing in regards to either tuner? Does the SCT offer adjust on-the-fly? Is the adjust on-the-fly on the Mini-Max worth the cost difference? I'm looking for longevity of the truck, good towing, and improved mileage. I've looked on eBay, Rudy's, Performance Diesel, and other companies, and all are very comparable in prices. Sure is confusing and I want to make the right decision that is long term. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

SCT doesn't do adjust in the fly.
