Need Advice - About To Tune My Truck

Greetings,

I'm about to pull the trigger on a Tuner + DPF & EGR Delete...but I'm a little confused. I was shopping here:

DPFDeleteKits

I just don't know which exhaust and EGR Delete option is best. Do I want a 5" Single Downpipe or 4" Dual? I'll be choosing Stainless, regardless.

But this brings me to another question: Do I need to opt for the additional 4" Downpipe? And if I get a 5" Single Exhaust, will that 4" Downpipe even work with it or simply be an extra, unused, part?

And lastly: Is there any difference between the Sinister and Flo-Pro EGR Delete (w/ Elbow) kits? Is the Sinister worth the extra coin?

I was going to contact them with these questions (and may if I don't get any responses from here), but I didn't know if they'd just try to sell me stuff...whereas I'm hoping for some unbiased guidance from the PS.org community.

Any info would be great! I'm itching to proceed with this, but I don't want to order the wrong stuff.

Also, if there's anything additional that I'll need please LMK. Or if there is a better site with better prices. I was going to order from there because it appears that I can order everything in one fell swoop.

-Justin

*EDIT*

I wasn't planning on ordering a Muffler, because I was told it'd sound better without one. I'm not a Know-It-All Gearhead, so pardon my ignorance if this isn't true.

Rudy's is a great company and you shouldn't hesitate dealing with them. They will always be honest with you. Dpfdeletekits.com is part of them

But Ill try to answer your questions here. The exhaust choices should read 5" Single, Downpipe Back exhaust, or 4" Dual exit, Downpipe back exhaust. This means it connects to the stock downpipe, and then either turns into a 5" with a single exit on the passenger side just like your factory exhaust does, or you can do 4" duals, which exit on both the driver and passenger side like most gas burners.

The 4" downpipe will work with either kit or even your factory exhaust. You have to cut your stock downpipe to get it out unless you move over your transmission or lift the cab. Cutting it isn't hard to do though.

Finally, I think you would be just as good with the flo-pro egr delete and elbow

WoodBoy,

Thank you for the fast response!

This pretty much answered what I needed to know, but I have one last question...and I may have to ask DPFDeleteKits themselves...but do you know if there's any difference in the EGR Deletes? And by that, I mean it appears that there are duplicate options for both the Sinister and the Flo-Pro.

Is that a glitch on their site, or is there a legit reason why there are duplicates?

-Justin

*EDIT*

Also, does anyone have a Discount Code? If I can save some money and let them know where I was sent from, I will. =)

Its probably just a glitch. If it were me, I would call them up and order from them. You can let them know you are a member of the .org and they may do something with the price.

Woodboy,

Thanks again for taking the time to post. I'll give them a call when I get back into town and see what happens.

So excited!
