i'm getting 12.5, after putting spartan tunes and a dpf delete some guys have made 22-25 mpg. the new emissions equipment make the mileage very bad. still very nice trucks though.

People are saying they get 20mpg. But honestly, I highly doubt anybody is actually getting over 500 miles in a single tank (short bed). It would take 600 to make 20mpg.

My truck is bone stock and a job #1 build with the new updated program for milage and regen changes. I have not got a good check on the milage with the new program, but I made a trip last month from Az. to NM. empty and have some figures on that trip, 65mph 15.6, hit freeway and sped up to 75mph and milage went down to 14.5 average for the 450miles I drove that day. My pulling milage has been all over the board from 4.0 to about 11mpg, pulling my big trailers (32' flatbed and 40' flatbed). I have had some injector problems and radiator problems, but I think this engine is very tough to be able to handle this regen process and seems to be awesome with a good Spartan tune and a DPF delete exhaust. I will be doing this to mine when my funds permit it. Over all the '08 is one nice truck with amazing ride and great body and the 6.4 is much more refined than the 6.0's I have owned, starts great, and runs super smooth!

With my mods, I get 16.7 average, mostly city driving...a lot better then the 11-12 I was getting

6.4 08 sct tuned with dpf delete and manual trans getting around 17 mpg
with just general driving. right at what i expected. Better on a long trip on interstate. The amount of pull or bite at low end of rpm is unbelievable. better than any I have ever seen in a full size pickup. used to get a whole 12.5 mpg and no bite and it jerked and bogged down, had ford rep ride in it and he said live with it, I said bull sh** Put tunes in and mod exhuast and then took him for a drive, made him drive it too and all he said is I can't believe this is the same truck. Tree hugger suck on exhaust. It now makes black diesel smoke and runns much better. |

Stock 6.4 I'm seeing 18.2 Highway, 15.1 City. Has the latest flash, and I think it hurt the mileage,9.9 to 11.9 pulling a 9600lb 5ver. 6 Speed 3:73.

Im rollin on 37's too, with SCT and dpf delete im right up in the 18-19 mpg, depending on my speed, right around 65 ish... but my speedo is probably out with the bigger tires so im thinking im closer to 70 + ... ?
