SCT and dashlight

Well my friend ordered a SCT livewire for his 6.4 and is alittle concerned. After programming the vehicle and take it for a ride, a wrench showed up on his dash which means the truck was in limp mode. Now I'm thinking it did this beacause he never really let the trans. learn the new shift points and went out and layed his foot in it. After we returned the truck to stock it went away and was fine. ANyone with info. on this
