7.3 to a 6.4

I'm selling my 7.3 and buying an '08 6.4. I know the 7.3's fairly well but still somewhat unfamiliar with the 6.4. I'm leaning towards the H&S Minimaxx (is it worth the price?) to avoid the shifting problems with the Spartan. Other than the DPF and EGR delete what do you 6.4 owners recommend??

The MiniMaxx is worth it if that's what you're looking for. I run an SCT Live Wire and am very happy with it.

Best recommendations would be:

1. Be extremely anal with your servicing/maintenance
2. Check oil and coolant regularly
3. Use only Motorcraft or Racor fuel/oil filters
4. Use quality fuel
5. Drain the fuel/water separator religiously

What shifting problems? I have a Spartan and it works great. There are lots of people with it. If you are talking about the shift flare I believe a lot of tuned trucks do that, not just spartan.

I would also suggest looking at General 6.4 Modifications thread.

The shift flare is 5r110 related more than tuner related. it happened sometimes in stock trucks.
