Any reason why this wouldn't work?

Found this guy on ebay from rudy's

SCT 5015 Livewire TS Tuner 4" Competition Pipe 08 10 Ford 6 4 Powerstroke Diesel | eBay

Looks like it will delete the dpf and egr and doesn't require the sensors to be plugged in.

I have seen only one or two guys running this Tuner with offroad tunes due to it just being released but both were very pleased

Thinking about getting rid of the stock 6.7 turbo?

good to hear. I was set on the dpf-r plus but for a few hundred more I can get the display that has the gauges and the ability to set warnings.

Seems to be half the price of Mini Maxx right now.

damn RUFFSTUFF's post finally got to me.

It seems like the best part of the tuner is that it allows the tune writers to turn off dpf/egr with the actual tune.

I believe the dpf/egr are turned off in the tune by a tuner named Mike S. He writes tunes for Rudy's and used to work for SCT. However not sure if this tuner could run tunes from tuners such as Gearhead with the dpf off as it will go into regen if this isn't a pure race tuner. You may want to call to find out.

I don't plan on racing so the tunes it comes with are plenty enough for what I want to do. Probably jump on it after the holidays.
