Covering up sensors??

Hey, I just acquired a DPF-R 4.0+ chip. I am going to stack tune it with a edge juice with attitude that I already have. When I delete the dpf and cat, I have to keep the sensors plugged into the wires, but not in the exhaust. I was going to order a delete pipe with bungs, but I already have one that doesn't have bungs. So my question is when I tie the sensors up out of the way, should i cover the sensors up with anything? Anyone else have experience doing this? Any input would be appreciated.

I've always put a Ziploc bag over them and tip tied them. Not sure if it is a necessity but for the time it takes why not?

It doesn't take any time to cover them.

I put dielectric grease in the connectors and then wrapped them closed with electric tape and zip tied them up and out the way.
