Programmer

So I got a SCT tuner from a guy i work with. He claims he had on his 08 F250 also (6.4L). Does anyone know a way that i can be a 100% sure that this tuner is correct for my truck. Really wanting to do a DPF/DOC delete and SCT says that their tuner is capable. Let me know if anyone has any info on how to find out it will be greatly appriciated.

That's the serial number, not sure if you can figure it out by that. Can you post pics of the tuner? Or plug it in and turn the key on, it should pop up on the screen when it first fires up. Just don't load anything yet. Plug it in, then unplug it when it goes to the menu.

You maybe right WoodBoy, I can't remember. It's been 3 years since I ran a LiveWire.
It won't do anything just by plugging it in. If i remember correctly, you can also access the tuner menu just by plugging it in. Just don't click "program vehicle", tire calibration settings, or viewing PID's. that's the only time you will mess up anything.
