Need some DPF info

This may have a thread already but I couldn't find it so I am making a new thread. Ive got a 08 F 250 and I am saving to get enough cash to do the DPF and EGR delete with a off road tune. Right now I just want to get the pipe to swap out and remove the DPF and the CAT, my question what would the repercussions if I were to just delete those two items without using a tune. Would there be any damage to my computer at all and will the truck still be drivable. I ask because I do not have the cash to get a $800-$1600 dollars for a tuner.

Thanks , Ace

You need a tune. No damage to computer but truck won't run properly and try to regen. And cause engine damage. Oh and it will smoke a **** ton. I have a dpf-r 4.0 for 250 shipped. It will tune the truck to run without dpf but adds no power.

As stated you need a tuner to delete the dpf. It wont run without it.

If you do you will get 1 start without the dpf on it. Once you shut it off it won't start again till you clear all codes. And like they said you can't do it that easy or tuners wouldn't be so expensive and no one would have a dpf on their truck.

I hate to be the one who tells you, but you are not getting a tuner for $800 - $100 unless it is used. However, I still suggest, you delete and tune, you will love it.
