it depends where you are. the cops usually go by double the speedlimit or 115mph. this is coming from a CHP bud. it may be different and it may all depend on how the officer feels that day either way the speedlimits are there just dont go to over them, take it to a track or an abandoned runway!

California vehicle code lists felony speeding as speeding to evade a police officer. Nothing in there about twice the posted speed limit. So, this leaves it up to the office to decide if the reason tyou were going a 140mph was cause you were trying to leave him in the dust or not. If he dosent like your looks he can say you were and u go directly to prison

So saying that you did not see him in your rearview mirror is not an excuse.......?? We all know at 120 MPH in a PSD that their would be ZERO visibility behind us!!!! Sort of like a big BLACK HOLE! Yeah that's it!

So prison, then EPA fines + additional jail time, truck confiscated, etc, etc,...... Free country?! PLUS the manditory OBAMA DEMOCRATIC PARTY impact fees.....

LOL!

Mike

About 11 years ago (when I was 18) a nice police man asked me why I was doing 115. I was in my 68 SWB 2WD F100 (stock 360 w/2bbl). Not the smartest thing to do considering no power steering and 4 wheel drum non power brakes. I've settled down a lot now, never over the posted speed limit (don't like paying the man a stupid tax).
