Limiting boost

Does the computer restricting max boost?

2010 6.4 Dually.

I have K&N air filter kit (not the drop in), aFe inter cooler, Mishimoto Cold-Side Intercooler Pipe, aFe DPF delete, aFE 5" DPF back exhaust, aFe 4" down pipe, EGR disabled/blocked.
Also running a custom tune that is basically a tow tune.

Watching my CTS edge I notice my max boost is 32 no matter what.

So I'm wondering is the computer forcing max boost at 32 or is that the max the stock turbos can make?

It think even in stock my max boost was 32.

Thinking of switching my low side turbo to 71mm but wondering if there's something in the code that I need to talk to my tuner developer to solve this.
She will try but I have to pay for the time if she can get it to work or not and prefer to ask before spending a couple hundred dollars.

Thanks.

The stock turbos can make over 40 psi. I think I've seen over 47 psi. I have my defuel levels on 35 psi on my Mini Max for everyday driving. It's possible that Edge tuning is conservative to prevent engine damage.

I'm using a custom tune with my 3015 SCT that is rated a tow (1).
Will try the next level (2 of 4) to see if my boost increases a little.

I only use the CTS Edge for monitoring and for the backup camera

Thanks.

Fuel and timing is going to determine your boost so your tow tune isa very small tow tune. It should go up with tunes. Load your largest tune and see what Max boost is with tc locked

2010 CC/SB FX4 Lariat.. Tuned By Eric@IDP and Matt@Gearhead

Thinking about getting rid of the stock 6.7 turbo?
Check this out... and research before buying

I agree with everyone else. Your tune is limiting your boost.

Found a few issues.
1. Forgot to put the air sensor back in the CAT after removing DPF
2. New aFe downpipe to exhaust was loose.

Once corrected I hit 38 PSI and for now that's good enough but you guys are correct tune stops at 40PSI.

Thanks!
