All I know is my lie o meter says 24 and it hand calcs to 17.5... i'm guessing it's a job 1 truck. I have the spartan with the nutty prof btw. I'm not that impressed with the way it shifts. I want to roll around on the 250 tune and not have the tranny feel like it's gonna bust when it shifts. The mileage is a total disappointment IF others are getting better than 17. The time I got 17.5 i was 350 mile trip going 70 the entire time... any help for these issues?

cornpharmer, hand calculating as you are doing is the most accurate way, as mentioned earlier. The fuel delivery changes made in any aftermarket tuning are not relayed to the instrument cluster and correspondingly the on-dash meter is not often accurate. As far as the mileage, what were you getting stock? For those who were getting 12-13, a bump to 17.x is sizable. There are trucks getting higher, sometimes even into the 20 range, but can't be guaranteed on every truck. As far as the shifting, we have it firm for a reason. It really helps to keep the transmission alive. The exact same tuning is what keeps our shop truck in one piece even on giggle gas at the track. I realize that some people prefer not to have a firm feel, but we have it set so on the side of caution. If you really prefer, it can be adjusted down, but please realize before making the request that I personally feel it will be detrimental to the life of your transmission to do so. |
