Post New to me 6.4 questions

Hey guys. I picked up a 6.4 about 4 months ago and I love it. The truck still under warranty I can't go to the dealership for these answers so here I am.

I've had it tuned for about 8k miles with the Spartan 275 tune, the truck is coming up on 35k miles.

How often should I change my oil?

How often should I change my fuel filters?

When should I tranny flush?

I use my truck as a weekend warrior, next to no pulling at all. Is an EGR delete something I should consider? If so, how does it benefit the truck?

Any other advice for a newbie, feel free to chime in!

Thanks in advance.

Oil around 5k
Fuel filters around 10k
Trans aprox 50k
As far as the erg delete it doesn't really do anything performance wise it is just for insurance in case one of the coolers fail

If you are deleted you can go up to 8k miles. I have some Blackstone tests and they came out great.

As mentioned around 10-15k miles. Drain your water fuel separator once a month.

I think the transmission fluid service interval is 60k miles with Mercon SP or LV.

You don't have to delete the EGR especially if your state requires it on your vehicle. It's just a safety precaution from it rupturing and spilling back into your block. I think the Spartan tuner turns it off.

egr delete is a great idea. if one of the coolers cracks (which they are prone to) it can leak coolant into the cylinder and you will bend a rod or hydrolock the engine.

If you are still under warranty and hoping to keep it that way, you should probably hold off on deleting the EGR. I agree deleting the EGR is a good idea, but it is one more thing you will have to put back on before you take it for warranty work. Also, you might want to re-route your CCV.

Your truck will be happier with the egr race plate in there. Won't be as smokey and will spool much better. I highly recommend replacing the factory cold side charge pipe to a upgraded 3" with a race mouth piece (which will remove all of the egr components). then just throw in the race lates on top of the turbo and in the coolant ports.

You can go much further on oil. I did 10k this change. I've been slowly stepping mine up under the directive of Blackstone labs.
