Launching at the track?!?!
I feel like a amateur but I took my 6.4 to route 66 last tuesday and I ran with the truck in 4 high two times and all I could get out of it was a 14.6 at 90.
When I tried to use 2 wheel my tires went up in smoke at the line, but still got more mph. I want to go back tomm, but I know this truck has a lot more then a 14.6 in it. nutty tune exhaust intake |

it should be faster than 14.6 on the nutty tune.

What are you boosting at?

Enough to push through the brakes from prestage to stage. I wonder if you can just switch it during the run???

Launch and run the track all in 4HI....takes lots of practice....but theres much more in your truck....I would say intake, nutty tune, exhaust is for sure a sub 14 second truck

boost launch???

It's easier and you will be more consistent if you launch by rpm's not boost
I always like to stage last and as I ease into the second staging light I roll into the throttle and launch at 2100rpm's on fuel and 1700 on spray. Drop your tire pressure to 35-38psi in all 4 tires and always leave in 4hi. Don't sit there like some people I have seen trying to leave on boost and push thru the lights or build up heat in your converter and toast your tranny

Well all know you have lots of practice there Stump
![]() If you have 4x4, you put the truck in 4HI and go through the process of "power braking" the truck, but you don't have to worry about breaking the tires loose because the front tires or tire is lock in as well......you can build more boost and launch harder that way |
