DPF Delete and MA State Inspection

I have an '08 and am looking into doing a DPF delete/tuner, but I don't know how this will effect getting the truck inspected. In MA, I believe, they plug into the truck to make sure there are no faults with the system, but there is no actual testing of the dpf system. Do any of the tuners out there trick the computer into thinking that the dpf is there for situations like this? Or will I have to reinstall the dpf and de-tune to get an inspection?

As long as they don't do a visual inspection then you should be okay. They look for codes, so the only way that it would catch your truck without a dpf would be if you took it off and didn't have a tuner. Is yours deleted with a delete pipe or full exhaust? They might say something if there is a 5" tip black from soot sticking out the back.

Most of the time they are looking for readiness monitors, not necessarily codes.

I do believe they check for the readiness. Do the tuners available handle this after a dpf delete?
