Newb with some questions

Hey guys yep, newb to the forum. I have been researching tuning upgrades on here and finally decided to join gather forum.
I have been looking into the dpf delete systems, however it looks like EPA is really coming done on smokers that have the DPF deleted. I know the removal of the DPF along with a tuner, cold air intake and exhaust will result in more HP, more Mpg and eliminate issues associated with "cleaning exhaust" process. All in all the only down side of removing the dpf is the legal ramifications if pulled over, and when going in for yearly state inspections.
Which brings me to tuners, air intakes, and exhaust packages that keep the dpf in place. It seems like I am comparing apples to orange when looking at piecing tuners exhaust and intakes for an upgrade package.
I am looking for a tuner exhaust and intake that will run a cleaner tune, that will minimize the "cleaning exhaust" cycle in the truck. Added hp and mpg is a plus, but just looking for a "legal" upgrade system.
Reading the forums I see members that simply hate the fact that people just don't delete the dpf.
I have been researching edge juice, h&s, sct and banks.
Without starting a forum war, can everyone way in on factual information that could guide me in the right direction that will result in a performance gain that will keep the truck legal.

Banks would probably be your best option if you are wanting to run a tuner with the dpf still installed but I don't think you will really gain anything.
