Suncoast Iron PAC-3

I am considering ordering the suncoast iron pac-3 tranny kit......i am curious if anyone has used this and what they think about it before i shell out 1k on parts and the time it takes for me to install it. Thanks

I run that Iron Pac-3 in mine, shifts are a bit firmer with more aggressive material but nothing your old lady will complain about. My converter is a PI/RCD one, lock up is manly now.

Upgrade that low reverse hub at the least as it seems to be the weakest part inside the case from my research. I have no clue what power level will cause the other shafts to fail. I went with that 'XHD' input shaft and the billet intermediate too. I have a stock OD planet. Maybe I skipped the OD planet as I have a PTO trans or it will not fail for my intended power levels (600hp is my goal, I have a 500hp tune from Innovative Diesel now and runs nice plus very durable so may keep it like this).

Oh, Ford has updated the pump more than once apparently too, so I did that. Consider upgrading to the newest available if funds are available. I would do all internals and skip the converter if I was was on a tight budget. You can always pull a trans to toss a converter in far more easily than replace a broken internal piece.

I did do a Mag Hytec pan as I picked up one used before the build was needed. Oh, I do have an external filter kit from Diesel Site too.

That is about all I can recall from dealing with this in the spring.
