09 6.4L F350 Code P0234 overboost pressure

I have a SCT SF3 tuner, Cat/DPF delete. Started to get the error code P0234 overboost pressure. It seems to come in at around 32 PSI boost if it stays there for like 10 sec or so. SCT rep says i need to return to ford once i set it back to Stock tune , and have ford do a update to my P30 stratagy. Has anyone done this at their ford dealer? If so was there any problem in doing this? Thanks in advance for your reply.

I was getting this code to after a deal visit. If my boost would stay above 33lbs for 5 or more seconds it would go into limp mode and the p0234 was the code I would get. At the time I was running an edge evolution and when I talked to edge they said to just update the tuner and the problem would go away. I updated and didn't experience it anymore. When I talked to the dealership they did not seem to be very helpful so I didn't want to take the truck in to them. It was after I got the 11b23 ford update when the overboost problem started.

Thanks for the reply, the SCT tech that i spoke with said" FS0P30 is known to have over boost issues. I would recommend returning the truck to stock with your SCT device and have the strategy updated to a newer strategy from Ford which corrects the Over Boost problem you are running into." With that i guess i will try going into the dealership that i have been using, one of the guys that works at that dealership is the one who did my Mods, so hopelully i can get some help

SCT is right. See, sct takes a lot of information from your stock file and incorporates it into the tuning file and the P30 flash that Ford came out with was even very problematic in stock trucks that towed and etc so they came out with another flash that wasn't so sensitive
