I am is the same boat at this point. I have the Edge Evolution, and Regen every 150 miles..... Great to start, but now my MPG is way off the original mark or 17.5 down to 14.8. I am ASSUMING the DPF is getting clogged beyond what the REGEN can handle..... 3000 miles on her today.... At the track the truck ALWAYS regened every run (stage 4) ...... Killed power so MUCH, and reduced the overall potential! I can't wait to get the BADP pipe and tune on the truck!!!! 2 weeks seems like FOREVER! ALSO, the Edge shifts so poorly. Part throttle it bucks and skips. I noticed this immediatly when I put the tuner on the truck! Has NOT gotten much better. Mike |

Too bad others wont listen to experience. Onto the BADP thing I am guessing that you are getting their new liveload tunes? Did they give you a date? Told me they are waiting on cables.....seems no one ever wants to take the focking blame for being slow with things...easier to blame crap on a hardware place...still I am hoping to hear form BADP here soon....I am supposed to get my Evo unit with their DPF delete tunes replaced by the loveload tunes and the new 200hp tune...everything is supposed to be better, power, MPG, and the shifting. Course I am on Spartans list as well...but I might just use their tuner on my 2011 6.7L truck....they should be ready by then |

i'm not going to arguee or lie to anybody to make or save a sale, anybody that knows me knows i will tell it how it is. like i said, you will get the best mileage increase w/ taking off the DPF but, your talking about saving the warranty. so your saying that he would be better off taking off the DPF, getting a custom dpf delete tune, then if he ever has a problem, put it back to stock and he won't have any problems at the dealer...? i've heard from a few people that they've had problems w/ the filter on a 100% stock truck. also i've talked to more people than you have about their Edge units in their 08s, and not everybody says they get another 3-4 mpg some people say they have only seen 1 and some none. BUT i have never had anybody tell me they lost mileage. we've only had 3 returns on them and it was either b/c the unit didn't have the full program in it or the probe was bad or the monitor didn't read anything. believe me you will always hear more of the bad than good on the internet. and i'm not denying the fact that it will cause more regens but simply stating that he wil most likely get better mileage and, once the unit is taken out, will be undetectable by the dealer. believe me we wouldn't sell so many if they were as crappy as you guys are making them out to be. |

First I have to say that I really hate getting into it with a Vendor on a site...cause it always ends up buring a bridge that you might need to cross later...but I also cannot sit and watch members fed bullcrap. Quote:
I am saying unless hes gonna take the DPF off then he should leave it stock.....rest assured that tuner will cause problems with the DPF in the long run....actually not so long run...it WILL cause problems...and after the first few tanks of fuel, the mileage increase will cease to exits, and it WILL go down cause of more Regens...the truck will be trying to clean that DPF out and it will not be able to. well lets see if he has spoken w/ them. nobody is getting into it at all, and i'm not B/Sn him at all and i never have. just speaking from experience, i deal w/ it everyday on the phone, and you guys just hear the bad. and nobody is burning a bridge if you needed something right now i'd give you a discount in a heartbeat and help you or anybody else w/ anything. No, I have not talked with Edge. The bucking is from the transmission jumping between gears. It is like it wants to shift harder than needed for part throttle operation.... on upshifts. Also it is more noticible when in TOW MODE...... Thanks! Mike |

speaking from personal experiance, edge is alright for a little extra power. it made no difference to my mpg no matter how i drove it. sure your goona get better milage when you take it easy on the pedal but you would get the same increase if it were stock. i think there a better products out there. i don't think it's a full on waste of money but they don't seem to be much cheaper than other chips that are better quality. i guess it's a little like buying a chevy. it does what it was intended to do but not very well and there are a few better options. |

what's all the worry about warranty...if you don't go crazy tuning....normal issues of a non tuned truck should be warranteed, even in a tuned truck.....Edge has defueling at shifts to the point of bang your head on the dashboard. But, they are same that way. Personally, I would wait for something....I heard of sSoPmAeRtThAiNn' (my try a subbliminal) coming in the near future.
