Angry Tranny Time Due To Horror Show at Track Last Night :(

Well ill keep it short and i guess...unsweet. Last night at the track doing practices heard a nasty noise and stopped traveled a little more and every time it changed gears heard the same noise so i talked to a great diesel tech at the track and he said planetary. The complete time hes talking all i heard was ching cha ching ching ANYHOW the transmission upgrade is going to be coming sooner than expected. So the question is what transmission do i need or do you recommend Im Leaning Twisted Diesel 60% SunCoast 30% But Ive Heard Great Things About River Citys Torque Coverter 10% And Elite Stage 4 Is So So As Far As Bang for your buck, INPUT PLEASE?!

p.s. any reason i should just have tranny planetary rebuilt replaced and tranny overhauled or whatever for any reason thanx!

I want to run my truck again but stuff like this scares me lol. My trans is feeling funny I don't think it will be long for me

I wouldn't waste my money on the suncoast. I would go with elite with a precision or rcd convertor

Well if i had money to blow i would just put the best one suncoast or any other big name competitor has for their top of the line. But I don't im an average joe. So i smoked direct drive clutch and i pulled the trans out Friday (yesterday) and rebuilt the trans Saturday (today) i used eagle red aulto clutches and new steels. I have a stage 3 TC with billet cover. So I recommend doing just as i did. But of course replacing planetary in your case too

I'm addicted to diesel and I step on it constantly!

Raybestos clutches are probably the best for the 5r110. A lot of people haven't had good luck with the suncoast holding up on these trucks. I would run what has been proven without going to a 4r

looks like elite stage 4 is an amazing transmission after further digging so es4 or twisted level 3 only pro to twisted is price point any advice on that and any idea what a decent diesel shop would charge to just outright swap the trannys no parts? just labor?
