Question on Downpipe and Exhaust combos

Ok, so another question for a newbie at exhausts. Im looking at the 5" flo pro turbo back kits, because if I'm going to do the exhaust why not do the dp as well... and I can't find one that does not have bungs. PTP says the one they carry does not. Now Alligator has the same model number and part but they say it does come with bungs and they don't carry one that doesnt.. So which is it? I'd like to go with PTP anyways but there is a $120 difference between Alligator and PTP on price.

Is the DP really worth it?

Is there any fitment issues with a manual trans?

Should I just go with the DP back kits and add a DP later? Ive heard there is a member on here that makes one better? Need info asap if possible so I can make a purchase by tomorrow.

turbo back is worth it, downpipes dont fit with our manual trans trucks, if you are good at doing alittle fab work then the downpipe will fit but requires perswasion. so in other words yes do the downpipe just going to require alittle time to get it right.

So no downpipe works? Well hell I might as well get a downpipe back kit and then try and deal with the DP later down the road.. how much persuasion are we talking? and is one kit better than another? I am being told by PTP directly on the phone that there is no interference issues with a DP.. whats the deal?

who have you been talking to about the downpipe?? everyone i have talked to says it will hit the trans and you need to dent the pipe??

All I did was call into PTP and whoever answered, he never gave his name, said he doesn't know of any clearance issue. This was referring to the Flo-Pro 5in Turbo back kit. SS638 I think

i was talking to a guy from flo pro and they specifically state for automatic only, and other companies could not confirm fitment due to not testing on a manual

I'm doing a dpf delete this weekend. I might run the ccv to one of the open bungs on the delete pipe since the mini max doesn't require the sensors. Probably use a threaded 90 with barbs on the other end.

Well I went ahead and bought the DP back 5" Flo-Pro SS.. I have the 4" w/muffler AFE kit for sale if anyone is interested. Never installed. If I decide to tackle the DP I can still do so later.. CNY did you do the DP? How much denting and maneuvering did you have to do? Any pictures of the process? Seems turning on a manual truck is hard to come by.... which is sad to me . Nothing else like a hand shaker.

gear crushing is the only way in a diesel, i wil be installing my in the next week or two and posting it in this fourm. I tried to create a sticky for manual trans trucks but admin didnt do it yet.

Awesome, I will definitely follow! And on the CCV, yeah I feel I will be doing that one sometime soon as well.. When doing the intake yesterday, noticed a good bit of oil residue before the vains on the turbo intake..
