Intercooler pipe question

I've searched this and to no avail. I feel dumb asking this but I'm changing my upper intercooler pipe and having a bit of difficulty removing the old one. Should I just cut the thing out? Or is there a trick to it? The one I got from Rudy's diesel didn't come with instructions in witch I didn't think it needed too

Did you take the radiator support bracket off?

No, I didn't think of doing that. Is that the large metal bracket on the side?

Just grind it down if you don't want to remove the whole support Intercooler pipe question-image.jpg

The picture is sideways but you get the idea.
