No Limit CAI

Just put on a No Limit Fab intake last weekend and my intake temperature was higher than usual and so was my egt's. Is this normal? It was about 90 degrees outside. I was wondering if I could put like a heat wrap or tape around the metal part of the intake so it wouldn't take as much heat from the motor. Great intake by the way. Thanks Mike

When I put my no limit intake on my egts weren't higher. Strange

08 F350 cc/sb 4X4
h&s minimaxx, 5" flo pro, 4" down pipe, no limit cold air intake, dirty diesel EGR delete with intake elbow, 6.0 exhaust manifolds, custom up pipes, ported intake manifold, Apex 71mm LP turbo, Rudy's cold side pipe, diesel site coolant and transmission filter, diesel site intercooler boots, ccv mod, bilstein shocks, gogo dd solenoid, HID lights, Airdog II 165, PMF traction bars, PMF drag link, moshimoto aluminum radiator

My egt's weren't any higher on mine, guess I never really think about checking my intake temp.

I know driving through town intake temp. was as high as 130. Running 55mph it would drop down but not as cool as the S&B was

Intake air temp isnt going to make much difference on a diesel since it heats up when it compresses. But the difference in intake temp is the heat shield from the box. You should notice a little difference up top in EGT's

I got some heat wrap like what I used for my downpipe and I'm going to try it to see how it does. I will let you know how it works

Yes the whistle is noticeably louder with the no limit intake.
