Spartan 275 + towing

Whys everyone saying not to pull on the higher tunes. This weekend I pulled a full size chevy 1500 about 200 miles and a toyota pickup about 100 miles. I love it compared to the the 210 tow tune. EGT at hwy speeds were nice 600-700* tranny temp stayed around 165*. So why do people hate towing on high tunes

Light loads its fine, But guys that tow upwards of 8,000 or more they prefer not too... EGTS get to high and other things that can go wrong.

Yeah pretty light, I keep it on the 300 when I tow the car or haul crap in the back. Just keep eye on vitals.

I figure the chevy was around 8k including the trailer. I don't drive like an idiot. Pulling onto the hwy I will hold it around 1000* egts, same for passing.

I tow my 32'enclose with race car 4wheeler etc inside on the spartan 300 tune. I just ease on the throttle and let it build speed on its own egt dont get above 1000 even going up slight grades or bridges. The trick is to keep an close eye on the monitoring egt's, boost etc. I have been doing this for over 2 years with absolutely 0 issues.
