Need advice

I am finally able to afford to order a tuner for my 08 F250 that has 71k on it. Not looking for a high hp tune just wanting to make the truck last so I'm looking at the H&S MM race tuner from PTP.
A few questions I had are as follows.

-Do I need to remove the egr set up or can I leave it turned off for time being? (have very limited funds and time at moment do to family health issues)

-Will just putting a dpf delete pipe on from flo-pro be sufficient until I can afford my duals I want?

-How much is gained by running a cold air intake with this setup?

You can leave the EGR delete installed until funds allow removal. The mild and hd300 tuning disable the EGR system whether its installed or removed.

Yes a delete pipe will work fine until you are ready to do the rest of the exhaust.

Not to sure on the CAI question because up until about 2 weeks ago I was just running a drop in afe filter. I will see if there is any benefit towing this week when we go on our holiday pulling the camper. Realistically the more air that the engine can get the happier it should be but I guess it really depends on how you use the truck. I use the drop in filter with 0 issues and only upgraded because I got the CAI for a good price.

Thanks for the info. Truck is used as a daily driver and to tow our fishing boat and snowmobiles.

Congrats on taking the plunge. The tuner can turn off the EGR, so don't worry about that until your funds are available. The delete pipe will work just fine (I ran mine with just a delete pipe for almost a year). Only thing you will gain with the CAI is not pulling in the filter minder every time you accelerate on a high HP tune (the hotter tunes move a lot of air), but a drop in will also fix this for cheaper than a CAI.
