Have a question about h&s

Sorry for the this because im sure its been brought up a bunch of times but I recently acquired an h&s "street" tuner and I was hoping someone could pm me for my question on unlocking. Not trying to get into details on open forum. Thanks in advance.

I have and I already know about the form you have to fill out for the EPA. I know of people who have gotten it elsewhere though

I'm curious too. I have seen on Craigslist a guy that says he can (for a fee) provide unlock codes. Seems kind of shady though.

What unlock are you talking about? As far as I've read the street tuner is a dpf on only tuner. You can not remove the emission stuff with that one.

So if you buy a street tuner and buy one of these

Unlock Codes | Diesel Performance Tuners

You can delete the dpf and egr with the street tuner?

Well yes but you need the high sulfur unlock code. Which is the PITA one to get. I want to know where else to get it from w/o going through the govt bs.

So what you're say is you would rather tempt faith and a 35,000 dollar fine then just buy an actual offroad tuner?

Either one will earn you a fine if caught using it on-road, no? Where did you get the
$35k figure from?
