What do I need?

Ok I have a 08 F350 swd that I tow a 36 foot toy hauler with, I have a 4 inch lift on it with 35 inch tires. I get terrible mpg no matter if I am towing and if I am not. What I am looking to do is get better mpg and more horsepower when towing. I would like to get a tuner and exhaust, I have already installed an afe air intake kit. What else do I need?

You need to remove the dpf and get a delete capable tuner.

Like Superduty said. Buy a dpf delete capable tuner and dpf delete pipe form performancetruckproducts.com or whatever your favorite performance vendor is. Tuner I recommend Spartan or H&S. MBRP has a nice DPF delete pipe ..so does FloPro

It all depends on who you talk to. H&S, spartan and sct are the 3 most popular with the first 2 being at the top. recently it seems alot of people are trying out the DPF r and DPF r+ products. I would recommend h&s but I've never had any of the others so I can't compare it to any of them. I had an edge evolution 15500 that I used for 35,000kms and it was trouble free so I wouldn't be scared to use that one either but alot of people don't recommend edge products for their own personal reasons. I had to switch because I wanted to do an egr delete and the edge didn't support that. It really just depends on the functions that you want - shift on the fly, guages or no guages, spartan for example has apparently the best monitoring capabilities along with their tuning that seems to be very popular as well, price may be of concern so the dpf r products may be more appealing to you. Like I said just check into the above mentioned products and decide on what you think you need
