switching tuners. hns to spartan

Got a question about switching from a h and s tune. Can you plug and play with the spartan. Just rebuilt my engine and tranny and the tune was next. I got the hns tune from a friend and thought that was all I was gonna need. Is it possible to do this or will it mess everything up. Or does a reflash need to be done?

So he tuned your truck for you but u don't have the tuner? H&s stores the factory tunes on them but not sure if spartan does the same thing or not. I'm not much help but I think your gonna have to get the spartan, then go to ford. Have them reflash it then tune it right away.

Wow, my head hurts after reading your post. First, confirm what tune you have on the truck. Second, put the stock tune back in. Last, buy a tuner and reload.

Sorry, when I broke the engine it had an hns tune with the hot tune programmed. It has been 4 months but I finally got it on the road. Now I want to delete the hns tune and load the spartan tuner into my truck.... I don't have the hns tuner. Can I just load the spartan or do I have to get the cpu flashed so its clean. But I don't think it'll run if I did that and the dealer would be pushing a 10000 paper weight til I loaded the spartan tune on it.

Reflash to stock so you have a stock file.
