Need answers please sombody please.

I gutted the DPF and the converter on the 08 6.4.
Now I have an engine light and need to know a tuner that will fool the engine lights. I have kept the temp thermocouples and harneses.
I just want to be able to use the truck as normal and not have a hastle with the lights and have the engine run well.

Thanks guys.

Clearly you have not done your research. You need a spartan tuner, or h&s off road, or the dpf-r tuner. These three will allow you to delete the dpf. I would call Performance truck products or Rudy's diesel and see if the can over night you one that is the only way to do the delete right

This is the what I plan on doing when my warranty is up. You def need a tuner to shut off all lights, pretty much you are running a dpf delete pipe without a tuner. Id get one asap before your truck regens without the dpf there.

How long did it take you to gut out the dpf? what tools did you use?

You wouldn't believe what it took to beat th v media out.
Sledge hammers, gloves, pipe and about 3 hours on the dpf.
Now the converter was a different story. About a half a day and a lot of sweat.
If you ever do it, make sure you wear the proper breathing device.
The core is wrapped in asbestose.

I have a banks tuner, harness, ECM and pad for the 6.0 I am willing to trade for the delete tuner fire the 6.4.
message me for pics. I sent it to banks for a flash and havent used it since.
Thanks

Waste your time? That's on you. Buddy, I'm not one to mince words so let me just say that you went about your course of action in completely the worst way possible. Not only did you not plan this out (as previously mentioned) but you destroyed your stock equipment in the process, removing the ability to reverse your mistake conveniently.

A tuner will not "fool" your lights, the proper off-road tuner will actually improve the performance and in your case, actually allow your truck to run. You CANNOT gut/delete/remove emissions equipment (CAT, DPF, EGR) without that tuner. You need to break out that pretty credit card and (1) buy a stock exhaust or (2) buy an off-road tuner. As always I recommend a Spartan or H&S Mini Maxx.

If your truck is running now, it won't be for long in the condition you said.

you won't find asbestos on your truck not even in the brake pads anymore

Just because I have a banner that states "Moderator"
does not mean you can't argue with my opinions !

At this point it is what it is. I actually paid a subscription to be honored in this site. Are you telling me i rind my day for doing that? How about done real help. I was Moffat diesel and now have entered a ETA contentious realm of Ford. Now that i have been introduced to the friendly world of powerstroke diesel forums, maybe someone will help in a kind way as was in the dodge forums.
