Cool Getting a new trans!! :)

I will be investing in a new trans and converter soon and need some input about tunes. Truck is '10 F250 6.4, DPF/DOC delete, EGR delete, Mini Max with KEM tunes, SB intake, 4in lift on 35s. I stay on the 250 tune most of the time, and drop to the 210 tune when towing (just for piece of mind).

New trans will be the Suncoast built by them with Suncoast converter OR rebuilding mine with new Suncoast parts and Suncoast converter.

Question: Will the new trans/converter setup interfere with the current KEM tunes? Do I need new tunes specific to the new trans/converter setup? I just want the new stuff to work smoothly with what I've done already.

Thanks for the input

I know Jeff with spartan is running the sun coast trans and an rcd high stall converter and has been very happy with that set up. If I was to do it, or better yet when do it, I would look into the spartan tcm controller for sun coast.

I would definately look into a DPC, RCD, or Precision convertor instead

Yeah I'm open to any brand converter etc I'm sure they are all reliable! I'm curious about the tunes themselves. Suncoast said their product would not need any specific tunes and that the modifications are compatible with tuned or non tuned trucks. KEM said I need different tunes to work with the new hardware. :-/

I am pretty sure he is running a low (1600) stall RCD torque converter

Jeff is running the 1600 stall. I have the same trans setup as Jeff and love it.

There shouldn't be a reason to get new tunes
