Thanks boss, that was exactly what I was hoping. I already talked to Matt/Larz at Gearhead and am getting their tunes in June, June 1 is my Bday so it's a present to myself, but the exhaust is a gift from the parents and the CAI is from the wife. Tuner was a necessity as I got a good deal on it from a member.
I was hoping that the SCT Livewire had the DPF option, as long as it was an older R model, which this is supposed to be. I am going to hook it up before I do the exhaust and program it per Larz recommendation, so I don't take the exhaust off, just to try to tune and realize I cannot turn DPF off.
Also, EGR delete is not going to be done for some time, probably later in the fall when I have some free weekends. I know turning the EGR off via the tuner is a "band aid" but is it prefered to leave it ON, or turn it OFF but left in place? Guess since it's was such a pain onm y 6.0 I wanted to know if people thought just turning it off before deleting it was better than nothing kinda thing.
Thanks for your/everyone's input. It's so weird to go from the 6.0 where I seemed to know a lot, did all my own mods/maintenance to knowing so little.
