Edge tuner used as monitor with H&S XRT????

I currently have an Edge Evolution tuner (part # 15004).... This tuner does not do deletes but I am about to install an H&S XRT along with a DPF/CAT delete. After the H&S is inslalled and downloaded, am I then able to plug in the Edge, leave it set to stock, and use it only as a monitor??? I know some will quickly say to just get the Mini instead of the XRT, but money is an issue. Do y'all think it will work?

Replied on another forum. Insight is fine but edge tuners are known to manipulate timing even when set to stock or zero.
