Questions about buying used H&S mini maxx

Hi, I'm thinking of buying a used mini maxx mostly for the dpf delete tunes. Is there anything I need to worry about when buying a used one? I have a 2008 6.4, will I need to download new tunes for my truck and will I be able to get the dpf delete tunes?
Thanks in advance for any info.

Just make sure that the previous owner has returned his vehicle to stock. After that I would update it when you get it home prior to installing it on your vehicle. Then you will have the most current tuning.

Why does it matter if the previous owner returned his vehicle to stock? It's coming of an 09 duramax does that make any difference?

The tuner locks itself to the vin # that it has tunes on. If the chevy get didn't return his truck to stock tuning the mini max will be nothing more than a paper weight to you.

Like Joel said, if it isn't returned to stock then it will be useless to you. H&S doesn't unlock VIN locked tuners anymore, which would be in the case of someone not returning their vehicle to stock prior to a selling it. As for if it matters if it was on a duramax, no it doesn't just be sure it's set back to stock.
