Mini Maxx Race Unlock Code

I just bought a Mini Maxx Race (109003) and it is not clear on the H&S website how to go about unlocking the older tuners. This tuner was new in the box.

Do I purchase the MCC software or do the High Sulphur Application????

I have sent email to H&S support but not sure if they will get back to me until Monday.

PLEASE HELP ME

If it is a new one it is ready to go. If it is a used one it should have been downloaded back from the truck it was in. I think there is a limited # of times a unit can be moved without backing out of a install or they lock up. I don't think H&S will unlock these either.

Ok, it is a new "old" tuner that has never been used on any other truck. So if I plug in to my truck, I will have access to all H&S tuning??? I was told I needed an unlock code to be able to download their tuning.

If it's the old race version, and I believe that is then you can just install it on your vehicle and you will have access to the delete tunes. I would probably update the sd card first but it's not totally necessary. You could just run it for awhile first. I guess you could just check and see what version it is when you get it installed.

You can just plug it in a nd run it. The 'unlock code' comes into play on the 2011+ trucks. Not the 6.4

I bought the unit for when my extended warranty expires then i will do a delete. It says it has DPF-on tuning as well as off. If I run tuner in DPF Present mode will dealers be able tell??

I thought the same thing as you but honestly your warranty can't have much time left on it unless you bought an extended and I am so happy I went ahead with the delete. The truck is way better off and is a totally different beast!

I just bought truck a few months back w/ extended 3yr/60k warranty.

Is it worth sticking out the warranty term stock, use the tuner in DPF-On mode and hope dealer doesn't notice/ care, or do the delete and void warranty completely????

Truck has 120k kms (~74.5k miles)

It seems a lot like paying your home owners Insurance for fire protection and using a wood burner to heat it, knowing that if the agent knew you had a wood stove they wouldn't insure your house. You will never know if it was a bad decision till you have a fire! LOL
