tuner question

I just ordered a mini max and i was wondering if i would have to get an aftermarket cold air intake or can i stick with the stock one? Also what would be the best setting on the minimax to tow a 10000 lb travel trailor safely? Thanks in advance!!!!!

It isn't totally necessary to get a cold air intake. If you run it hard all the time on a big tune then you will be constantly sucking in the filter minder but if you drive sensibly you should be fine. I've been running an afe drop in filter for quite some time now with no issues. For the towing question, it's always recommended to tow in the lowest horsepower setting of whichever tune you are in. I run the hd300 tunes in the no power setting usually for towing and it is about a 50 hp boost.
