DPF Delete question

Just brought a 6.4 powerstroke and I have a question about the DPF. Wanting to get rid of it but it's my daily driver in the city and tows my toy hauler on the weekends.
Looking at trucks on youtube with the DPF delete they smoke like crazy. I assume they have the full turbo back or downpipe back, but if I just do the DPF pipe and keep the CAT and Muffler on, will it still smoke that much or how can I set it up to get rip of the DPF but not smoke like crazy. I don't mind a little puff here and there, but I can't drive in the city with crazy smoke coming out. This is my 1st diesel. Thanks in advance for you suggestions!!!

I just did mine last weekend and ordered the wrong delete pipe and only got to delete the dpf. Cat is still in place as is the muffler. When I set the tuner right it smokes very little. Plan now is to gut both the cat and dpf and put them back on leaving the muffler for now most likely going to something aftermarket later

So let's say I get a mini maxx with delete tunes. From what I'm reading, the lower the horsepower tunes the less likely it will smoke?

Yes, and the lower setting for LBF (low boost fueling). The levels are 0-5, the lower the setting the less smoke

Thanks guys. Now, where is the best place to buy this stuff. I called Rudy's just because I saw their name on the forums reading through. Any other suggestions?

I deleted mine last Friday and loaded spartan 210EL. It does not smoke unless I stomp on the skinny pedal. I left cat and muffler, just removed dpf. And when I stomp on it, the smoke doesn't last long.
